Welcome to the official Waiting for Katherine website

High energy, sing-along tunes with rampant riffs and a mouthy frontman. Previous winners of Battle of the Bands at The Horn, St. Albans and twice in the three winning bands in Hertfordshire's Music City Unsigned.

Waiting for Katherine took the local scene by storm in an amazingly short period of time. They had won Battle of the bands 17 at The Horn within a few months of getting together, and since then have built on their reputation as one of the best and certainly most enjoyable live bands in the area, with regular headlining slots at local venues. WFK combine heavy pop-punk riffage with sing-along choruses, a quirky sense of humour, an absolute focus on fun and an everyone-join-in attitude. With the most enthusiastic frontman for miles around, no Katherine gig can ever be described as dull - just ask any one of their many loyal followers.

Following a little pause in proceedings, WFK were back in business at The Horns in Watford on 20th March, rocking a brand new song, Heartbleed, which definitely sits on the side of heavy! Playing alongside our old friends in Colvex, it was great to be back on stage in the relaxed atmosphere of this great music pub.

WFK have had a brilliant time playing our trio of autumn gigs at The Horns (Watford), the Halloween Spectacular at the Trestle Arts Base (St. Albans) and The Farmer's Boy pub (St. Albans.) A massive thank you to the venues for having us, but especially to those that came to see us, some of you for all 3 gigs! We really appreciate it.

We're taking a bit of time out from gigging over winter, when new material will be written and recorded, ready for more gigging action in 2017... that is, unless anyone wants to book us before hand!

See you soon.
